So, here are my favorite concerts/shows that I had the luck and pleasure of attending in 2011.
In order of date of attendance:
1. March - Dry River Yacht Club and Marching Fourth Marching Band at the Yucca Tap Room in Tempe, AZ. Great outdoors show. There was a huge stage outside and found some other great bands/artists. I love catching March Fourth
2. July - A Perfect Circle at the old Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, AZ
3. Sept - Sade at US Airways Arena in Phoenix, AZ Sade hadn't performed live in over ten years. This I was not going to miss. I am so glad I went. It was everything I hoped it would be...sexy, amazing, beautiful just like Sade. She sang all my favorites and she just nailed every note. Sade looked absolutely amazing and sounded spectacular. I was just floored.
4. October - Incubus at the old Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, AZ I was lucky enough to get pit tickets to this show. Although bro and I missed the first song and entered in the middle of the second song, it was lots of fun. They sounded great and we had a blast. We were even lucky enough to meet Brandon after the show. He was incredibly sweet to everyone there.
5. December - Puscifer at Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, AZ Great seats. Great show. They played some favs and Carina was a great singer/opener. I had a blast with Bro and D.
Another great show was a show that Black Carl had done to celebrate one of their song releases. They had performed Can't Give In and totally hit it out of the park. It was probably one of their best performances of that song I had ever seen and I had seen quite a few. It was so heartfelt and sung/played with so much passion, I was completely floored. I love this band and feel head over heels in love with them harder when I head it played with such passion.
