So The X-Files came back this past Sunday, 24 Jan 2016.
I've been nerding out and geeking out about the return for some time, but Sunday, it was on!
Gah!!! I thought it was very good. Some thoughts:
1. Mulder, I love you, but shave!
2. Mulder sounded just as passionate as ever.
3. Scully sounded defeated and raspy. I like the defeated angle. I believe she's lost her direction and passion for finding the truth. I like how she's returned to being a practicing doctor. I hope she'll find her energy and passion again.
4. Scully looked amazing. But....her wig is kinda distracting. Then again, I loved to seeing the red again.
5. I love the long monologues about the conspiracy. Much like the Michael Kritschgau monologue of the Redux II episode.
6. I love the final shot but it doesn't make any sense. We saw the obliteration of that character. We saw his scull. There wasn't any room for error. Unless, he wasn't who we thought he was in the final scenes of The Truth, Season 9's final episode.
