The X-Files Season 2

Now things start getting insane...but in a very great way. There are conspiracies everywhere and they dive deep into the alien mythologies.

Favs of S2 are kind of fractured. Because the Duane Barry arc is very important to the whole series, but I hated DB and the fact that Scully was abducted. Don't get me wrong. It was great story telling that needed to be done because Gillian was going on paternity leave and it propelled the alien mythology forward. So, I mention the arc here but it isn't one of my favs that I would watch over and over again.

Season 2 of The X-Files...Favs

The Host -The monster of the week for this episode is The Flukeman. Extremely creepy and terrifying to think or ponder what must be living or mutated in our sewers from our toxic waste, biological or otherwise.

3 - I liked 3 and it's kind of a guilty pleasure. I know the story is kind of weak, but i just enjoyed it for what it was. I didn't like the fact that Scully wasn't in the episode but Mulder and Kristin was a decent substitute.

Irresistible - Creep-y! This is probably the most creepy episode I had seen up to date. In fact, because of this episode, I can never see Nick Chinlund as anything other than Donnie Pfaster. The death fetish angle, the way Donnie would talk (his inflections), the way Donnie takes Scully, the way Scully "sees" Donnie and finally Scully's breakdown was so well done. As a female, this was a very scary episode. It was an eye opener for me as far as what kind of people can be out there in this world.

Die Hand Die Verletzt - Great episode for its Devil angle. It was not necessarily scary, but it was definitely entertaining. Just a fun episode overall.

Humbug - Another fun episode with a fantastic cast of characters from the Jim Rose's Circus. The premise was disturbing, which I enjoyed very much, and the walk through the fun house was great. Gillian/Scully consuming the cricket was jaw dropping impressive. Love this episode.

This season had a few one off that I loved. F. Emasculata was particularly grotesque which i loved but it wasn't a fav episode. The season ended with Anasazi. This episode isn't a favorite but as an arc episode, it was phenomenal. The whole Indian tribe missing without a trace, the mummified alien body stack up, the last scene was all awesome. Great cliff hanger.
